Issue Position

As your Senator, I will embrace a mission of inclusion, equality, and basic human rights for ALL persons.

This is not a conservative or liberal issue; it is an American one, and it is time that we, as Americans, embrace a mission of inclusion, equality, and human rights for all persons.

I will work to ensure that all citizens, regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation, are afforded equal access to healthcare, an open and ethical government, protection from violence, care for children, family and elders, and equality.

I will seek the counsel and wisdom of women and minorities in our District. It can be our most useful resource for crafting public policy.

With the high level of hostility toward our elected leaders and others whose views differ from ours, it is time that we turn to each other, not on each other.
